Welcome Nick Sasse, CHS Music Director 2025-2026

We are excited to introduce Mr. Sasse as the new Music Director for CHS.  Here is a little about him…


Nicholas Sasse is an educator and composer from the Pacific Northwest. He began his musical journey at the age of nine with private piano lessons. In sixth grade, he joined band as a clarinet player and quickly connected with the sense of belonging and community that music had to offer.

Looking for a Treasurer to Join the Band Boosters

We’re looking for someone to join our fantastic board team as Treasurer for next year. If you’re interested, now is the perfect time! You’ll have the opportunity to shadow our current Treasurer, Ellen Steen, who is super organized and helpful. This role only requires a few hours a month, and responsibilities include keeping the books, paying bills, managing deposits, and preparing financial reports.  Learn more about the details of this role here.

Cedarcrest Band & Choir in the Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade, December 7th

The Cedarcrest High School Band & Choir is honored to be selected to march in and perform at the Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade, which will be held on December 7th to commemorate the anniversary of the invasion of Pearl Harbor.   Led by music director, Dr. Dean Snavely, the band and choir have been working hard to prepare for this trip and we are so proud of all the work they have put in to represent our local high school and community.
